City tree rules around the OKC metro
On a typical private lot, none of these six cities requires a permit to remove a tree. The rules that catch people are about street trees in the right-of-way and about how limbs must be cut for pickup.

Power lines are a separate rule
Anywhere in the metro, work within 10 feet of a high-voltage line needs trained, certified line-clearance workers (OG&E vegetation FAQ). See trees near power lines.
